For our final block of walks this year we are staying at the Min-y-Mor Hotel in Barmouth for 4 nights. I found this hotel by chance earlier in the year and hoped it would be OK.

This time there would be no worry about whether the mini bus would arrive as we would be using a mixture of buses and trains and I could worry about that instead.

Llanddwywe to Barmouth: 5.0 miles (8.1km) +75m -79m (12 October 2016)

I order to make best use of our time we all drove up on Wednesday morning, had a picnic lunch at the hotel and then got the 2pm bus to Llanddwywe ready for a 5 mile walk back to the hotel.

To begin with we had a half mile walk to the coast path and then crossed fields and a number of caravan sites before we reached the main road. The next 2 and a bit miles were along a footpath next to the road.

On the outskirts of Barmouth, we could leave the road and walk along the promenade back to the hotel in time to have a rest before dinner.
