Another year and another set of Coastwalks (3 in all planned) to take us closer to our final goal of Chester. This month I planned that we would walk from Minffordd to Pentowyn Dunes, a total of 38 miles. The walks would take us past Porthmadog, Criccieth, Pwllheli and Abersoch.

We stayed at the George IV Hotel in Criccieth. It is part of a large chain who specialise in coach tours, but as we were staying out of season I got a very good rate. They were also very flexible to our needs with respect to meal times.

From looking at maps the walks didn’t appear to be too strenuous and on the southern side of the Llyn there are no real hills.
